The Four Seasons Day In, Day Out Live (Good Quality)
I get that this is already posted up on UA-cam but I went through a lot to get a clean video version, also I know the audio is terrible but thats because I originally taped this video without audio so I had to rip it from somewhere else. Enjoy

The quality is once again bad because I took it from the Jersey Beat cd, so obviously I don’t take any credit. This song gets me in my feelings lmaoo
The Four Seasons Interview 1965

An interview with Frankie and Tommy on WHUC radio. I don’t own this audio, just uploading it to share with others. Also I made this video with some stupid app on my phone, it made me add some photos but then wouldn't let me anymore so that's why half of the video is a black screen. No one will probably even read this anyways who cares

Fun fact. This is the actual recording of the song. Not a performance
What a gem!
Love these Four Seasons but this song isn't their sound!!! I'm not a Frankie fan, he adds nothing to this recording!!!!
I was 13 years old
The Joey Bishop shop around 1967
Wow this is awesome!!
Not sure why they don't let Gerry Polci do all the vocals. He is amazing ❤
Do they talk about Charles Calello who was so important to their sound by arranging so many of their hits.
These guys are the greatest.😊
My old buddy on bass - RIP Don.
What great musicianship. To do Opus 17 live with at least 5 key changes is incredible.
No auto tune...just 4 guys plus a drummer singing "in-tune" and sounding magnificent! Thx from Mike g
Big girlss dont CRYYYYY

It sounds faint for some reason. And this is my favorite group in history
Great great posting and video. Should be in some Hall of Fame
FV looks like a werewolf 😅
Absolutely incredible.
Got some horns and strings in the back there in the dark, too, I’m pretty sure.
Qué época!!!❤
Beautiful 😍
GOOD GOD. THIS IS SOOOO FUNNY!!! LMAO!!! 😂
Do you have any other videos of interviews with Tommy speaking? He was my grandfather (my mom’s father), this is the first time I am ever hearing his regular speaking voice from back during the days in the band. Hearing this is so special to me, thank you so much for putting this video online. I would love to talk more if you’re interested!!
That instrumental album Frankie mentioned never did materialize...
This is a great live recording. I didn't see the Seasons live until 1967 and they were outstanding then too. By that time Joe Long had aptly replaced Nick Massi. Incredible in 64 and when I saw them in 67 how good they sounded live without any additional musicians except a drummer.
Wow. I'm 68 years old, and I just now learned that Tommy and Nick were the same height as Frankie.
I think there might have been some forced perspective. But they couldn't hide how tall Bob was.
This is the exact same set I heard them perform in Asbury Park, NJ in 1964---just 3guys singing into their standup mics and Frankie holding his---2 also playing guitars and Bob on electric organ---and they had a drummer(Ronnie Roach) and a few small amps---and I was almost shocked they could reproduce that sound live---especially Frankie and that falsetto!!!!---i was hooked and remain to this day!!!!
Did Ronnie Roach play on their records or was he just live?
@@michaelnyny He was strictly their touring drummer, from 1963-67; the main studio drummer for the Seasons recordings in the sixties was Buddy Saltzman---Panama Francis was on "Sherry" and "Walk Like a Man" when Saltzman was unavailable and Gary Chester did some sessions--Saltzman did the great fills on "Dawn" and "Under My Skin"
@@anthonycolatrella2438 Thanks for clarifying this. I was always a Four Seasons fan, from the very beginning. In the early 70s I had a roommate who couldn't stand them, with his exception of the drumming, which he thought was spectacular. I would agree with that assessment on the drummer, but the whole group was spectacular in my opinion. I think some of the best drumming was done on their poorly charted 45 Betrayed / Toy Soldier. I have that single with the (cheap Philips paper) picture sleeve, which was fitting I guess for the styrene 45s.
@@michaelnyny I would have kicked your roommate out!!! the Seasons were spectacular without a doubt! Gaudio was a frustrated drummer I have heard him say and always tried to include great drum parts and the execution of the parts was consistently superb---mostly thanks to Buddy Saltzman; as long as Charlie Calello did the arranging, Saltzman was his first choice. He most likely did the drumming on those 2 songs you mentioned---I refer you to our SEASONS ON SATURDAY show on UA-cam where we discuss the career and recordings of the 4Seasons---we did do an interview of Charlie Calello recently which was terrific! Lee Shapiro, their keyboardist from 1973-78 is one of our group--on one program we discussed the "Who Loves You" album---if you are a 4Season fan I am sure you will find the shows informative and entertaining--we have done 11 so far
@@anthonycolatrella2438 Thank you!! I most certainly will check out the show. One of the hidden gems, in my opinion, is Genuine Imitation Life Gazette.
Sinatra ? Elvis ? Michael? Frankie is the greatest of all time.
Who’s the homeless dude impersonating Frankie Valli? 😂
I don't care what anyone says but Marlena is simply amazing especially live. Something about it I just love
One of their best songs
Boop-boop boop ee oop. Terrific song, I don’t remember, but it might’ve been on the other side of candy girl
Wow, this is amazing. Gerry still sounds so good on this video.
Love it. Just like the four freshmen and miles ahead of the typical rock music of that time period .
I would like to know the date of this episode.
this is from the TV show -On Broadway Tonight- from the summer of 1964
Is that Tom Brady?
I thought it was Woody Harrelson. LOL. Can't stop laughing.😂
Exelente
Awesome
How did you dig this vid up on this Seasons version of the Beatles hit! Great to see it, just wish the sound was in sinc. What a rare one to unearth
Sure would be nice seeing some live footage of them singing you're nobody till somebody loves you👍
This band played anything in the 70's. This is from the 1976 musical documentary "All This and World War II". Good cover of this song.
What a nice song! Instead of making it at 103 in the Top 100 Billboard it should have reached 33 (so it would make Top 40). Thank you, Bob Gaudio & Jack Holmes, for the song. One day it will have the recognition it deserves.
Great to see the Four Seasons sing a hit from My Fair Lady, in addition to their song Do You Wanna Dance.
The band plays The Brotherhood of Man, from their On Stage album. Nice song.
Interesting. They come from the doo-wop lineage but this is clearly an example of 60s “ sunshine pop “
As one would listen to the Four Seasons during the 1960s, after Nick Massi left the group and was replaced by Joe Long (Joey LaBracio), it was Long (and his playing style), plus the British Invasion and the societal issues of the mid-to-late 1960s that made Bobby Gaudio move the Seasons' music from their Doo-Wop roots to the more contemporary music of that period. "GILG" was an attempt for the Four Seasons to be relevant to both college-aged kids (who would normally be listening to "Sunshine Pop" like Spanks and Our Gang, "Psychedelic Rock" like Jefferson Airplane or Jimmi Hendrix, "Swamp Rock" from CCR, etc.) and adults that were familiar with their old style from 1962 and '63, yet it failed (eventually causing the group to be released from Philips Records and undergo a sort-of descent into "limbo" with MoWest and the British "Northern Soul" circuit with the "Chameleon" album until Frankie Valli's solo "My Eyes Adore You" under the Private Stock label hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts made the Four Seasons popular again in the mid-1970s).
I saw them that year in East Tennessee. They were MUCH better live than this recording quality conveys. The crowd at that college show was blown away.
13:28 - Tommy intro: "He sings baritone, takes care of all the business..." Truer words were never spoken, Frankie. 🤣
Lol
